Scribble the Way is a logo design concept proposed for Writers Block a new online writing centre which is part of Writing on the Wall.
Scribble the Way
A scratch, a scroll, a doodle, or simply an intensely worked scribble demands centre stage for this graphic concept: ‘Scribble the Way’.
We see the angst of hand-scribed agitation and the confusion of extended lineage. In tandem, we are presented with a rough depiction of the membrane, working of the mind paramount to the dreaded writer’s block. In consequence, a further presentation of togetherness is conceived through the repetitive form of the circles. A unity of supportive connection created through ‘The Writers Block’.
The outer arrows indicate an upward motion, being guided through writer’s block and sent in a positive direction. Hand drew linage a par with contemporary trends within graphic arts.
The coloured depicted are directed towards the under-represented group in which Writing on the Wall looks to engage within their programs. ‘Pink’ to be a cliché: covers same-sex orientation. The ‘Burnt Orange’ being a particularly ethnic tone, accompanied by the black and brown tones of minority skin tones. Working-class is projected by the red of socialism core to the ‘Liverpool’ masses. ‘Blue’ guides towards those with disabilities and ‘Blue Badge Holders’ in particular.
Scribble the Way: graphic art concept which will imprint Writers Block within the North West creative sector.
